How do I know which storage unit size is correct for me?

Our team can assist you in determining the ideal storage unit size based on the items you plan to store and/or the size of your home/office/vehicle. Alternatively, you’re welcome to use our size estimator tool on our website for guidance.

Can you offer a home/office appraisal to evaluate the size storage I require?

Yes, we provide complimentary home/office appraisals within Cambridge area to help you determine the appropriate storage size for your needs.

What are the security services at Cambridge Storage?

Cambridge Storage facilities are equipped with 24/7 CCTV surveillance, controlled access gates and your padlock - you hold the key.

Do the storage units have power?

No, our storage units do not have power connections.

How often can I access my storage unit?

You have 24/7 access to your storage unit.

Can I still access my unit on public holidays?

Yes, you can access your storage unit on public holidays, adhering to our standard 24/7 customer access. Please note, our office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, therefore our office staff will not be available during public holidays.

How soon can I obtain a storage unit?

Depending on availability and the time of day that you enquire, you may be able to obtain a storage unit on the same day you enquire, subject to necessary paperwork and payment. Please note, our office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. If you enquire over the weekend or on a public holiday, you can expect to hear back from us on the next business day.

How much notice do I need to give?

We can often accommodate requests at short notice, please contact us as soon as convenient for you and we will do our best to accommodate your desired moving date based on our current availability. 

If you require a storage unit larger than 3m x 3m, we appreciate at least 7 days' notice before moving into a storage unit to ensure availability and proper preparation.

Do I need to sign an agreement contract?

Yes, signing our agreement contract ensures clarity on terms and conditions, protecting both parties.

Do you need my contact details?

Yes, we require your contact details for communication purposes and to facilitate your storage booking. If you change your address at any time please inform us.

What can I not store?

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot store perishable goods, flammable materials, hazardous chemicals, live animals or illegal items.

Does Cambridge Storage offer a complimentary trailer to help with moving?

Cambridge Storage offers complimentary use of our covered trailer to support your moving into storage but there is a small charge to move out. Our easy access facility, large driveways and turn-around bays make the process of moving in as easy as possible.

Can you recommend a removalist?

Certainly! We work with trusted local removalists in Cambridge, Hamilton and Waikato and can provide recommendations upon request.

What payment methods do you offer?

We accept payments via direct debit and our minimum payment term is 1 month in advance. If you would like to arrange an alternative method of payment, please contact our team to discuss your options.

When do I have to pay?

Rent is payable in advance. The minimum payment term is 1 month and is non-refundable if you move out within that first month.

What notice do I need to give if I vacate my unit?

Please provide 14 days' notice before vacating your unit. If you vacate early, any unused rent remaining based on the 14 days notice requirement, will be refunded to your bank account.

How do I cancel?

To cancel, simply notify us at least 14 days before your planned move-in date. If you vacate early, any unused rent remaining based on the 14 days notice requirement, will be refunded to your bank account.

What is the process to vacate the unit?

Notify us at least 14 days in advance of your intention to vacate. Remove all belongings and return your unit to its original condition, remembering to take your padlock with you. You may be charged a cleaning fee should the unit need any cleaning or repair work.
